The problem with typical background music setups
The usual fix for focus music is opening a playlist in another tab — and that comes with its own baggage: ads, an autoplay video for something totally unrelated, or the simple temptation to switch tabs 'just for a second' and resurface somewhere else ten minutes later. This timer builds ambient sound directly into the same screen as the countdown, so none of that ever comes up.
Ambient tracks available
This page has loaded the beach waves track to start with — one of the always-free options. From the sound panel you can switch to other ambient tracks (piano, orchestral, night sounds, acoustic guitar) and adjust the volume independently from the rest of your system, all while the timer keeps counting down uninterrupted.
Getting the most out of it
Ambient sound automatically pauses if the site's radio player is already running elsewhere, so the two audio sources never overlap. Try different tracks for different kinds of work — some people focus better with water sounds for reading and piano for writing — until you find whatever combination actually works for you.

Does the music affect my stats or streak?
No, ambient sound is entirely optional and has no effect on how your progress is recorded — what counts is completed focus pomodoros, with or without music.
